Chris Sheng joined MicroTheory Engineering as Vice President of Operations and Growth in 2023. Chris is an experienced executive within the federal government and tech space, with over 20 years of experience working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), United States Marine Corps (USMC), Department of State (DoS), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as well as, experience working directly for technology startups and Fortune 500 companies. Chris brings a proven track record with experiences in economic analyses, program management, and digital transformations.
Before joining MicroTheory, Chris had over 10 years of executive leadership experience. He was previously VP of Growth Operations and Strategy at Boxed leading their GTM strategy, including competitor analysis, product-market fit, and pricing for an ML-powered SaaS tool. Prior, Chris was VP of Program Management and Chief Operating Officer at Dynamo Technologies, focused on establishing a cross-functional organization for collaboration, innovation, and engagement. Chris was also responsible for leading business development efforts through the GSA OASIS vehicle, developing partnerships, proposal strategies, and market analysis. He has been a trusted advisor to CxO customers on technology solutions, including PM tools, security compliance, and user adoption.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He is a lifelong learner, pursuing knowledge of AI/ML, cybersecurity, and data analysis. In addition, he has received numerous accolades, notably Booz Allen Hamilton’s Value in Practice award, the Department of Defense’s David Packard Award for Excellence in Acquisition, the Department of Navy’s Analysis and Evaluation Award, and the USMC’s Commander’s Excellence in Operations Research and Systems Analysis.
