ABOUT US | WILLIAM NJIE

William A. Njie is the Vice President of Strategic Business Operations and Finance at MicroTheory Engineering. With over 27 years of experience, he has a diverse background in program management, strategic business advising, leadership coaching, entrepreneurship, strategic planning, and philanthropy across multiple sectors, including financial management, health, and agriculture.

William has successfully supported numerous startups and entrepreneurs in business growth and capital raising. He has also designed and implemented business systems, governance frameworks, and training programs. He has led multi-million-dollar projects and multicultural teams and facilitated executive team-building workshops. William currently leads a team managing over $6 billion in annual budgets.

William also worked as an international consultant with organizations like the World Bank, UNDP, and GIZ, focusing on initiatives such as the out-grower scheme with smallholder farmers, developing national training programs, establishing governance structures, and institutionalizing change management frameworks.

In 2008, William co-founded Business Process and Automation Services (BPAS) LLC, a management consultancy firm that provided services to the Federal Government. He also previously held senior roles at ITT Corporation and served in various financial and budgetary functions within the United States Congress.

William is a member of the International Management Consultants and the American Association of Budget and Program Analysts. He has served on the boards of the Start-Up Incubator Gambia and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of The Gambia. He holds an MBA from Virginia Tech, a BBA in International Business from Howard University, certificates in Project Management, and various strategic and leadership disciplines from the Project Management Institute, the Wharton School of Business, and Thunderbird Universities. William has a 23-year-old daughter and two German Shepherds.
